Wow, just wow!! Congrats goes out to the Rutting Bucks for their league setting, single game, high score of the week with 171.90 points. The previous high score was set by One Angry Gook in Week 12 of the 2006 season. I'm unsure what happened in the Jets game with Thomas Jones, he had 124 yards rushing, 1 TD. Jets running back Shonn Greene had an additional 144 yards, 2 TDs. If they pulled Jones to rest him as their game was a blowout, Rutting Bucks could have had more than 171.90. Nicely done sir!
I can't let this go by without saying something. How about that 4th round draft pick from 2005 selected by the Chicago Bears, Cedric Benson. 37 carries, 189 yards, 1 TD. Sadly it was only 1 TD. It's frustrating the Bengals passed for a TD when they got to the 5 yard line or less. I can't imagine being a Bears fan and trying to watch the entire game, it was Curtis Enis ugly.
Can anyone explain to me why two NFL teams would fly to England, mid season to play football game? What genius thought of this idea and why would you agree to it?
Interesting stat of the week. This plays into my beef with teams spreading the ball around to 10 receivers each game. Guess who is leading the NFL in Touch Downs scored after 7 weeks: Tight End, Vernon Davis of the 49ers. Don't believe me, check the stats for yourself. How many of you guess Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Larry Fitzgerald or Andre Johnson?

Fantasy Game Recaps….
| Thunder Choads (3-3) East 95.01 | vs | Dragons (1-5) East 110.40 | ||
| PK David Akers | MNF | none | ||
| This one could get interesting on Monday night. The lead for Dragons is 15.39 with no one playing for them Monday. The Choads have kicker David Akers yet to play. After 7 weeks of NFL games, only 8 times has a kicker scored 15.40 points or more in a game. So the odds are stacked in favor of Dragons, but that point total is not out of reach. Stay tuned.... | ||||
| Stickboy (5-1) East 56.84 | vs | Dynasty (3-3) East 114.67 | ||
| none | MNF | none | WIN | |
| I've wrote about how inconsistent scoring has become this year. This weeks performance by Stickboy is a perfect example. They are leading our league in total points scored after 6 weeks, but now in week 7, Stickboy is the current low score of the season leader. His RB and WR didn't score a TD and the highest yardage was 69. He benched Roethlisberger for Jay Cutler, it was the right move this week, but he only scored 16.95. Stickboy falls to 5-2. Dynasty moves to 4-3 on the year in the East. They had a decent week with no huge games from any starter, just good scoring from the bulk of his team. With this win by Dynasty over the division leader, this now makes week 13 all that more interesting as these two teams will once again meet up in the final regular season game. | ||||
| Buckwheat (3-3) Central 91.98 | vs | Crippled Monkeys (3-3) Central 109.88 | ||
| RB Brian Westbrook WR DeSean Jackson | MNF | none | ||
| With a lead of 17.90 points by Crippled Monkeys and Buckwheat having, RB Brian Westbrook and WR DeSean Jackson yet to play, this should be a victory for team Buckwheat. While 109.88 points is a very good week, their running backs did very little for them. On the other hand, I've seen DeSean Jackson score zero points a couple weeks ago and Westbrook is always injury prone, so this one is far from decided.... | ||||
| Pimp Juice (3-3) Central 110.49 | vs | Rutting Bucks (3-3) Central 171.90 | ||
| none | MNF | none | WIN | |
| 171.90 points....that point total still floors me. 8 TDs were scored by Rutting Bucks RB & WR. Four of the five score 20+ points. The only blemish was Antinio Gates scoring 6.88. Just amazing. Rutting Bucks on a 4 game winning streak and will tie for the division lead in the Central. This will make for an interesting last half of the season. | ||||
| Grease Slappers (3-3) West 95.77 | vs | Big Daddy (3-3) West 72.48 | ||
| WIN | QB Donovan McNabb DT Philadelphia Eagles | MNF | none | |
| A win for Grease Slappers who now sit at 4-3 in the West and watching the outcome in the OAG vs Stud Stable match up. Grease Still has McNabb and the Eagles Defense yet to play, but the points aren't needed. Big Daddy finds himself at 3-4 after this weeks dissapointing performance. There just wasn't much happening outside of Peyton Manning. | ||||
| One Angry Gook (4-2) West 98.02 | vs | The Stud Stable (2-4) East 95.70 | ||
| RB Clinton Portis | MNF | WR Santana Moss | ||
| Another close one in this match up. One Angry Gook I'm sure has been curing all day looking at the points on the bench that could have been there. Instead we have a lead of 2.32 points with RB Clinton Portis for OAG and WR Santana Moss for The Stud Stable. OAG needs the win to stay a game up on Grease. Though if Santana Moss is able to get the win for Stables, this would make this division all the closer. | ||||
