Weekend Recap - Week 2

Commish's Corner....

We lose three so far this week in the Survivor Pool. Team Buckwheat and Team Dragons both picking Dallas and Crippled Monkeys selecting the Patriots. Dynasty and Grease advance to Week 3 with the All-Stars revealing their team in the Monday night game.

Hopefully I have finally set the Blind Bid Waiver and the First Come, First Server waivers correctly now. I've had my struggles with setting this up in the past, and when I compare last years setup to this years [before my changes], they were identical. I made an adjustment to the calendar now, so with any luck, I won't have to adjust this going forward. We shall see as the week progresses.

Fantasy Game Recaps….

After a disappointing first week, Rutting Bucks struts his team and is currently at a 33 or so point lead over Team Stickboy. I wouldn't call this one over, but 33 points is a lot to make up from one Receiver. So I'll give them a 98% chance of winning this week. Overall they had a decent week, Philip Rivers and Danny Amendola were the key players, plus the bench players did fairly weel, at least the ones who played. Stickboy was Randall Cobbed this week. Had more bench points than starting points, so there is lots of points being wasted. Eight receivers on this team and you can only start three, good luck with that. Also, Kevin Smith didn't get hurt this week, so that's a positive.

Team Dynasty saw it live in person, the Vikings lose another one. The one saving grace is, they have claimed their first win of the season. They have proved that you can win with stud running backs. Though, on draft night, you wouldn't have thought CJ Spiller would be tops in the league. Grease, or Grease....Aaron Rodgers has let you down again. Isn't this about the week when you panic and start trading or dropping your players?

After counting themselves out on Thursday after the Packers put up 25 points, the All Stars could have won this week with a decent performance. But no, they had an awful, awful week. If you don't mind, I'll reuse an early bit, this team was Ogletreed. You picked him up, but yeash! Dragons, it could have been so much better....510 yards, 3 TD's by Eli Manning and he's on your bench in place of Andrew Luck. You've read it over and over and over....Always Start Your Studs!! Baring another nightmare, Dragon's still should win this week.

Battle of the unbeaten's in the Central with Monkeys coming out on top. They currently have the high score of the week and rightfully so with three players nearly scoring 30 points or more. Just an impressive looking team with AP still looking for his normal self. Hustla takes a the loss and will worry for the next 6 weeks with Matt Forte sidelined one a high ankle sprain. At the very least, I believe this team found it's starting weekly QB with RGIII.

Despite having two goose eggs from Greg Jennings and with Aaron Hernandez getting injured, Top Notch had another great week. Rice and Sproles each producing 22. They should move to 2-0 in the West. The Choads got Victor Cruz going this week with 34, but the rest of the team looked terrible.

Buckwheat

Is this close or what? .06 separates the teams, each have players in Monday Night's game. I'm excited to see this one play out as it should be close, right? The winner will be tied in the West at 2-0 with Top Notch.
